New Service: Updated Endoscopy Equipment
Advanced Endoscopy Services at Tari vets
We are proud to introduce our new endoscopy service, offering advanced minimally invasive surgical and diagnostic “keyhole” procedures for pets. This allows us to gain a wider range of information for certain diseases, as well as offer a keyhole approach to some surgeries, such as spays. Please find below some of the procedures we can now perform with endoscopy:
Arthroscopy
A minimally invasive technique used to explore and treat joint conditions. Using an arthroscope, we can directly visualise the inside of a joint through a tiny incision. This allows for accurate diagnosis and treatment of joint problems with minimal trauma compared to traditional surgery.
Laparoscopic spay (Ovariectomy)
A minimally invasive spay technique performed through two or three small incisions. The ovaries are removed, significantly reducing surgical pain and promoting a faster and more comfortable recovery compared to traditional open spay surgery, allowing your pet to go back to normal routine sooner.
Bronchoscopy
A diagnostic procedure that allows visual inspection of the upper respiratory tract, including the trachea and bronchi, using a flexible camera. This technique is invaluable for investigating chronic coughs, airway inflammation, or obstructions. Samples can also be taken directly for further testing using the scope for more accurate results.
Benefits of Minimally Invasive Surgical Procedures:
Smaller wounds and less scarring
Reduced pain and quicker recovery
Shorter anaesthesia and hospitalization times
Precise diagnosis with less tissue trauma
At Tari vets, we’re committed to providing the highest standard of care using the latest in veterinary technology, and this addition to our services allows for more options for diagnostics and treatments to treat a wider range of problems for our patients.
