  • Peter DVM MRCVS

    Practice Owner and Head Vet

    Peter opened Tari Vets in 2019 with the ambition of starting an independent private practice with high standards of care and internal referrals. Originally training in Iran, Peter immigrated to England and obtained his RCVS accreditation in 2005, which he then used to practice in Scotland before moving to Essex in 2016. Peter’s dream has always been to own his own practice and prides himself in Tari vets offering the best healthcare in both first opinion and specialist treatments.

    Alongside running the practice Peter is our front of house Vet seeing all your dogs and cats in need, due to this busy schedule he unfortunately has no time for a pet of his own, however he would love to have a Labrador companion in the future!

  • Marek MVDR MRCVS

    Orthopaedic and Soft tissue Veterinary Surgeon

    Marek joined the team in 2024 to start our inhouse Orthopaedic referrals and to expand our advanced soft tissue surgery service. Having qualified in 2012 from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice (Slovakia), he then undertook rotating internships which allowed him to maintain these skills whilst also developing specialist knowledge and expertise, primarily in orthopaedics, neurology, and soft tissue surgery. Completing internships at Rutland House Referrals and Fitzpatrick Referrals allowed him to rotate through specialities whilst also gaining exposure to internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, and dermatology cases.

    Marek completes all our inhouse orthopaedic consultations and referrals whilst also operating during the day and particularly enjoys orthopaedic procedures. At home Marek has a loving cat named Pepino who loves playing with his young daughter.

  • Anna DVM PgCertOpthal MRCVS

    RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology

    Anna joined us in late 2023 to kickstart our ophthalmology referrals here at Tari vets. Originally qualifying from Wroclaw University (Poland) Sciences in 2009, She then moved to the UK, where she gained her postgraduate training and further qualifications in ophthalmology whilst working in a general small animal practice, as well as a referral environment.

    Anna runs our Ophthalmology service offering both 1st opinion and referral services including consultations and surgery and has recently started offering cataract surgery at our practice. Anna enjoys all the areas of ophthalmology but particularly enjoys diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases. At home Anna has a black cat called Roxy, which she fondly calls her lucky charm.

  • Petros DVM MRCVS CertAVP PgCertVPS

    Dermatology Veterinary Surgeon

    Petros joined Tari vets in 2024 to start running the Dermatology clinic at our practice every other Friday to see both 1st opinion and referral skin issues. Petros is originally from Cyprus, and he moved to Slovakia in 2009 to study General Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in 2016 from University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice and in the same year he moved to the UK. He later gained a Dermatology Certificate and gained his Advanced Veterinary Practitioner status towards small animal dermatology.

    Petros is seeing all patients with complex skin conditions including skin allergies, ear disease and hormonal skin conditions and deals with both chronic and acute conditions. Petros is fond of dogs and particularly loves chihuahuas.

  • Harvey BSc (Hons) BVetMED GPCert (ExAP) MRCVS

    Exotics Veterinary Surgeon

    Harvey joined the team in 2022 to assist with our Exotic caseload after training in Newmarket. After completing his Bachelors in Veterinary Medicine at the RVC in 2019, Harvey followed his passion of working with exotic pets. Since joining Tari vets Harvey has completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Exotic Medicine in 2025 and is working towards his Advanced Practitioner status in Zoological Medicine, whilst leading our Exotic team.

    Harvey runs our exotic consultations as well as completing exotic surgeries and assisting with small animal medicine when required with ultrasound and dentistry. Harvey has a fondness for frogs and even has his own frog at home named Jabba, as well as Yuki the Maltese who keeps him very busy on the weekends!

  • Ferran Valls Sanchez - WeYouVets

    Veterinary Surgeon

    European Diplomat in Small Animal Internal Medicine, Dip.ECVIM-CA – Internal Medicine, Royal College Veterinary Surgeons Internal Medicine Specialist, RCVS Specialist, Co-Founder of WeYouVets and Associate Professor Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, Spain)
    Ferran is an Internal Medicine Specialist and Co-Founder of WeYouVets: his goal is to provide accessible internal medicine specialist care to Tari Vets and they are glad to be part of this great and compassionate team.
    Ferran completed a European residency in internal medicine at a private referral hospital in the UK in 2019. He has worked in multiple referral hospitals in Spain, England, Ireland & Hong Kong and published multiple articles in international journals.
    He is also an associated professor of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
    Out of work Ferran enjoys reading, drawing and Lego.

Nurses

  • Sheree RVN

    Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Sheree joined the team when Tari Vets opened in 2019 to carry on her studies which she started in 2018 at another local practice. Graduating in 2021 as an RVN Sheree has since advanced her skills becoming Head Veterinary Nurse in 2024. During her time at Tari vets she has been lucky enough to train several student nurses who she is very proud of!

    In practice Sheree organises the team and is involved in practical nursing whilst assisting Peter with the general running of Tari vets and feels very privileged to have been involved in Tari vets’ growth over the years. At home Sheree sadly doesn’t currently have any pets however enjoys visiting her parents cat Myrtle who she rescued after she was found straying in the area, she also hopes to rehome a group of rats soon as she has a particular fondness for them.

  • Rosie RVN

    Registered Veterinary Nurse/ Admin Assistant

    Rosie re-joined the team as a part time admin assistant in 2024 alongside equine nursing at another clinic before we convinced her to join the team full time splitting her days between nursing and admin assistant in 2025. Rosie qualified as an RVN in 2020 and worked with us for three years until she left to pursue referral nursing. She worked in a busy referral hospital for a year, in which she enjoyed learning lots of new skills especially in neurology and radiotherapy.

    In practice Rosie enjoys working with exotic animals and is an excellent inpatient nurse, always making sure every pet gets a good cuddle in their kennel and completes all our insurance claims. At home Rosie has two rabbits, called Otter and Mouse, a crested gecko called Echo and a loan horse called Magic who she spends most her time looking after.

  • Afshana RVN

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Afshana rejoined the team in 2024 after she finished her Veterinary Nursing Degree. Starting her nursing journey in 2020 through university Afshana was working in practices across London whilst also completing placement hours at Tari vets. After qualifying in 2024 we were lucky enough to have Afshana back to become one of our full times RVN’s.

    In practice Afshana enjoys all aspects of nursing and particularly enjoys avian nursing and preparing animals for surgery as well as scrubbing into our Orthopaedic surgeries to assist Vet Marek. At home Afshana has an elderly cat named Kat who she spoils as often as she can as well as has two budgies called Sol and Rio.

  • Imogen RVN C-SQP

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Imogen re-joined the Tari Vets team in 2024 after recently qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Imogen started her career in 2016 as a VCA and then progressed on to start her nursing studies in 2021 when she originally joined Tari vets where she worked for two years before leaving to gain additional experience in a busy hospital where she developed a passion for surgical nursing and anaesthesia.

    In practice Imogen can be found in theatre where she completes our complex anaesthesia’s and minor surgeries. She has also completed the surgical nursing course, giving her the skillset to be able to complete extra skills including small lump removals and stitch-ups. At home Imogen loves spending time with her horses Teddy and Grace and rescue Pomeranian Ralphie.

  • Jess RVN

    Registered Veterinary nurse

    Jess joined the Tari Vets team in 2020 as a full-time receptionist and kennel assistant and began her training as a student veterinary nurse in 2022. Qualifying in 2025 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Jess marks the first student to be trained from start to finish at Tari vets since its opening which is an amazing achievement.

    In practice Jess has a particular interest in feline nursing and is always advocating to improve the kennel environment for our feline friends, making the experience as stress free as possible. At home, Jess has two cats, Charlie and Clover who are lucky enough to have a birthday party held every year for them. She also has a particular fondness for hamsters and is passionate about spreading awareness of the correct husbandry for small animals.

  • Ellie RVN-SQP

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Ellie joined the team in 2024 after moving to the area during her studies. Ellie started her nursing journey in 2023 and through much hard work and determination qualified as an RVN in 2025 after which we were lucky enough to have her stay as one of our full-time nurses.

    In practice Ellie has been enjoying working with our canine patients, the more difficult the better!           She has a fond love for the more senior patients and gets the most job satisfaction from nursing and supporting these patients when they are unwell. Although Ellie currently has no pets of her own, she has a family rescue dog that she enjoys spending time with when she is home and going on long dog walks.

  • Madi SVN

    Student Veterinary Nurse

    Madison joined the Tari Vets team in 2022 as a Veterinary care assistant, working alongside our reception team and assisting the nurses in our kennel areas. This is Madison’s first role within the veterinary profession, and she has now progressed to starting her student nursing course in 2023.

    In practice Madison enjoys learning new skills and any new challenge that crosses her path and has a particular fondness for feline nursing. She is often found trying to take any cat in need home. At home Madison has her loving cat Rhaegar who even has his own room to be spoilt in.

Animal Care

  • Sian

    Animal Care Assistant

    Sian is our animal care assistant who joined us in 2024. Before this, Sian worked in busy referral hospital for two years and enjoys helping nurses with procedures and advocating for patient welfare. Sian is due to start her VCA course in late 2025 so is very excited to progress within the team.

    In Practice Sian can be found cuddling any animal at any time although she is a massive terrier fan and would love to own one again in the future, but for now enjoys cuddling and getting to know all our patients. Sian would also like to one day own an adorable British blue cat.

  • Charlotte

    Animal Care Assistant

    Charlotte re-joined the team in 2025 as an Animal Care Assistant after a short break from practice. Charlotte originally joined the practice in 2023 on a student veterinary nursing placement which she then took a short break from before re-joining us in 2025 having put her training on hold. Charlotte hopes to continue her nursing training in the near future with us.

    In practice Charlotte loves all things feline and is a very organised member of the team whilst also assisting vet Harvey with his exotic animal patients. At home Charlotte has her beloved cat Cow who she hand-reared as a rescue kitten whilst she was a student nurse. Cow is now thriving as an adult and is very loved by her family.


Reception

  • Brittany

    Receptionist

    Brittany joined the Tari Vets team as a part time receptionist in 2021 after joining us from a busy hospital which she started working in the Veterinary profession in 2018. Brittany works at Tari vets part time alongside owning her own nail business which she recently set up and all the team can be seen sporting her nail designs.

    In practice Brittany enjoys her role as a receptionist interacting with the clients and particularly enjoys seeing and learning about all the exotic species we get to see and help. She has a particular fondness for canine companions and at home owns a Pug named Pablo and 2 cats named Jazz and Pebbles.

  • Laura

    Receptionist

    Laura joined the surgery in 2021 as a full-time receptionist. Having in the past owned her own business Laura now enjoys a role where she can enjoy each day and each animal that comes through the doors.

    In practice Laura particularly enjoys meeting all canine companions especially Boston Terriers as she owns her own named Digby who keeps her on her toes! She also has a range of family pets at home including two horses Minnie and Maggie, a Scarlet king snake named Bennie and a Maine Coon cat called Leo.

  • Paul BVetMed DVC MRCVS

    Cardiology Veterinary Surgeon

    Paul, a holder of the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology since 2003, graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 1997. He spent a brief period in first opinion practice before completing a junior clinical training scholarship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, and then a three-year senior clinical training scholarship in Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Medicine at The University of Edinburgh. On completion of his residency he began work as a small animal cardiologist in private referral practice, becoming a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology in 2005. He went on to spend an additional five years in private referral practice before setting up East Anglia Cardiology in 2010.
